Jenny
Jennifer McKay comes to BCSNOVA having grown up in the church and serving as a volunteer in ministry for decades. Beyond serving in church as a youth, Jenny began her adult life serving her first 5 summers out of high school by working at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly in Ridge Crest, North Carolina. Another Summer Jenny spent serving at Caswell Baptist Assembly in North Carolina. Upon moving to Sterling, VA in her 20's, Jenny began attending Sterling Park Baptist church where she served in the Youth Ministry until she married the love of her life, Billy, and moved to Purcellville. Jenny taught middle school in Loudoun County for 30 years. During that time, she also became a member of Hamilton Baptist Church. Through the years she has served providing counseling as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, youth ministry leader, children's worship leader, VBS leader, and college and young adult ministry leader. Jenny has also served in music ministry. Alongside other dear sisters in the Lord, Jenny help to start the women's ministry team, and years later a women's mentoring ministry at Hamilton Baptist Church. Through the years Jenny has come alongside women in various situations. She knows the deep waters that life brings and the God who walks with you.
Jenny has also volunteered in the county through the years at places like Mosaic Virginia (crisis pregnancy center,) teaching English as a second language (ESL) with Hope Community Center, as a volunteer caregiver, as well as serving on a wrap around team for the county for children in crisis. She has also been on several mission trips to the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. Her wisdom brings great value to our board.
Jenny is married to Bill, her husband of 43 years. She has two children and one stepchild and several grandchildren. Two of her children now serve in full-time ministry.
