"After months at a trauma institute and four years with a traditional Christian counselor post church trauma, sexual abuse and spiritual neglect by the overseeing church leadership complicating her recovery, we switched our daughter to Kim for her skilled trauma expertise to aid in a crisis domestic violence intervention of a subsequent 18 month abusive relationship. Within months of working with Kim, at first with great resistance, my daughter gained the voice and strength to leave her abuser, face him in court and gain a one year no contact order. I do believe my daughter would likely be dead without this successful intervention. Kim incorporates many secular tools into her counseling practice and does not push biblical methods beyond the comfort of her patients. She is careful, gentle and compassionate meeting clients on their journey where they are at. Kim continues to work with my daughter on life skills post those multi- traumas. "Only God could have orchestrated the moment when I was asked by Toni to assist with her counseling internship. I had a need and was searching for a counselor at that time. I began my 10 week journey with Toni and to say it has helped would be an understatement. It has been an amazing experience that I hope to continue beyond the 10 weeks. Toni is very gifted in listening, assessing the pace, offering guidance when needed, and challenging me when needed.
